As the world turns...


Dear friends and clients. What follows is a brief OVERVIEW of the first decade of the new millennium. It is my intention to give you an impression of what is happening for each of us individually by looking at what is happening to all of us collectively. Humanity is one organism. As we enter Autumn 2006, we are involved in ONE of three very challenging oppositions from Saturn to the outer planets. Outer planets are those planets beyond Saturn´s orbit, namely Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

These three Saturn oppositions, first to Pluto, then Neptune (now) and ultimately Uranus are some of the most important transits of this decade. We are all involved in these challenging aspects. This is no cake walk.

We´ve undergone one of these powerful oppositions already: Saturn opposition Pluto. The 21st century came in with a bang when the 9/11 disaster happened in New York in 2001. I hope this helps you to understand the magnitude of power involved when Saturn makes an opposition to one of the big guys. When outer planets get hit, big things happen and we are all changed.

In the last half of 2005 the Grand square between Mars retrograde in Taurus for 6 months, opposed by Jupiter in Scorpio, squared by an opposition between Neptune in Aquarius and Saturn in Leo, all in FIXED signs really rocked us. Mars moved on (thank goodness) and left us with the Saturn opposition to Neptune (Jupiter is now progressing to the final degrees of Scorpio and into Sagittarius). Neptune rules the ocean among other things. At the end of 2004 on Boxing Day, the greatest tidal wave in the modern day killed millions of people in Southeast Asia, India and Africa. Not even a year later, in August 2005, all hell broke loose when Hurricane Katrina bore down and massacred New Orleans. The power of the ocean was experienced by all of us. In 2006/2007 we continue to deal with the Saturn/Neptune opposition. Oil is also ruled by Neptune and America hangs on in Iraq to secure future oil reserves. This is huge.

We have yet to deal with Saturn opposing Uranus - this opposition will happen in MUTABLE signs (Saturn in Virgo opposing Uranus in Pisces). I do not want to look that far yet. We are still digesting what has gone on already.

So that´s the BIG PICTURE in a thumbnail sketch. What happens to us as a group affects each one of us individually. How well you´re doing has everything to do with this: ARE THESE MAJOR OPPOSITIONS BETWEEN SATURN AND AN OUTER PLANET HITTING YOU? The only way to find out is talk to your astrologer. Recommendations: Ego mania is at an all time high right now (Saturn is in Leo) so if you´re feeling a bit big for your socks and its causing you trouble, chill out. Exhaustion is normal for just about everyone right now so get your 8 hours every night. Use earplugs if necessary to get real silence and deep sleep. If you have not had your heart checked recently, get a thorough check up and blood work. SLOW DOWN. There are a lot of heart attacks happening right now (Leo rules the heart) and some people are dying from them. Do whatever you can to bring on relaxation. I recently bought a new mattress to support my back better (Leo also rules the back). Do something creative that you enjoy and love. Make time to be with kids (yours or someone else´s). Kids (Leo governs children) need good loving attention and by giving it to them, you feel the love too. Do something that feels like PLAY (Leo activity). Right now most people could use some happy downtime to avoid burn-out, exhaustion and illness. Pushing it too hard and you may get some unpleasant health warnings: heart attack, stroke and sudden death can happen under this stressful aspect. Make time to take it easy before you´re forced to. Turn off the news. If it´s really important, someone will tell you. De-stress.
